10 Delicious Things to Try in Edinburgh

10 Delicious Things to Try in Edinburgh

When I think of countries I look forward to eating my way through, Scotland was not on the list before now. Their cuisine consists of a lot of haggis, whiskey, and *insert any starch here*. I took for granted how similar this is to comfort food. These are some of the dishes I would gladly eat again, but this time I would schedule a nap after every single one.

1. Bangers & Mash

2. Cranachan

4. Haggis Tower

Photo Credit: Anna Bryant It turns out I love Haggis. Who'd've thought. It's like a meaty rice pudding. Here it is served with some mush. Haggis, neeps (mashed turnips) & tatties (mashed potatoes) can be found at most scottish restaurants.

6. Potato Scone

Photo Credit: Anna Bryant Potato Scones are more like potato flatbreads, but still delicious. Like any great carb, there are a number of ways you can eat it. My favorite was to take it home with some smoked salmon and make open face sandwiches.
